Walking the two Sonoma Coast vineyards where we will be pulling our Chardonnay grapes this year; Petersen Vineyard - just outside the new Petaluma Gap AVA and Indindoli Vineyards - in the heart of the Russian River AVA. The fruit looks great and based on the impromptu lesson from my winemaker, Erica Stancliff @estan88, regarding taste, pulp condition, skin texture and brix we are just a few short weeks from harvest.
The rack of lamb paired perfectly with the '17 Stressed Vines Pinot Noir. The fruit was harvested from a single vineyard in the hills of Annapolis overlooking the ocean on the northern Sonoma coast. This area has a unique microclimate and maritime influences that make the fruit unique and very special. Boulevardier is also pouring our '18 Rose' of Pinot Noir by the glass.
So cool to talk shop with one of my favorite winemakers. Infact it's because of the great wine that Sean makes for O'Shaughnessy, that I started to make wine from Howell Mountain fruit. Thank you @scapiaux
Thank you for the post and kind words @dallaswinechick

What does a Vintner do when you have orders to fill before your next shipment arrives? You fly to San Francisco, drive to the warehouse in Sonoma and pick up 4 cases of 2018 Stressed Vines Rose' of Pinot Noir and bring it back with you the next day so it can be delivered to your bar/restaurant clients.
Side note:. Really liking the decision to forgo capsules on some of the bottles this year. The Rose' bottles look great!!
Stressed Vines Rose' is now available by-the-glass at #candleroomdallas. So excited to see our wine poured at one of the best and the longest running nightclub and ultra-lounges in Dallas. Thank you for the love and support! And thank you Shawn and Tommy! You guys are the best!!
It is #nationaloysterday. Stressed Vines Rose' & Chardonnay are perfect pairings with oysters on the patio. You can find us and great oysters at #Rapscallion on Greenville or at #wheelhousedallas in the Design District. Enjoy #nationaloysterday.
One of the inspirations for me to start making Cabernet Sauvignon was being introduced to the amazing wines from @kamenwines . Having the opportunity to spend time drinking and talking to Owner and Vintner Robert Kamen as well as his very talented wine maker Mark Herold, is incredibly special. Being able to spend time with other fans of Kamen wines It's just a bonus! The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon from Kamen is nothing short of amazing.
