I learned today that bottling often doesn't go according to plan. The labels, while printed perfectly to spec, revealed a layout issue that I didn't identify until I saw them in person. I decided to have them reprinted and bottle the wine in shiners. My parents taught me that if it's worth doing... It's worth doing right.

Chardonnay was being racked in preparation for bottling in two weeks. Tasted some and I couldn't be happier with the result. Once it goes through the cross-flow filtering process and is bottled... this wine will have exceeded my initial expectations.
