Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is in the house! So excited about the fruit from @reynosovineyards this year that I picked up an extra ton. The fruit tested free of any smoke taint before we picked. We will test again after fermentation to be 100% certain that we are only making fantastic wine, free of any smoke taint. The 2020 harvest has finally begun for Stressed Vines Cellars with fruit from the hills of Annapolis on the Northern Sonoma Coast. Tonight I decided to reach into my stash of the inaugural vintage and revisit the wine that started it all. With so much uncertainty surrounding the harvest in Sonoma and Napa counties I wanted to be taken back to a happier time. Tonight I lift my glass again to all of those growers, wineries and those that put on the industry everts that are now spending sleepless nights wondering how this will turn out.
